Orange has called a halt to its planned IPTV service and reduced its fixed-line broadband roll-out across the UK.
Orange's TV service had been trialled successfully in the UK, but now the telecommunication company has decided not to roll out the service, claiming it is too similar to other offerings such as BT Vision.
Tom Alexander, chief executive of Orange UK told Reuters: "No roll-out is imminent".
Orange's broadband service, which has one million users and is ranked sixth in the UK behind other ISPS such as the Carphone Warehouse and BT, relies on its own network rather than rented lines from BT.
However Alexander claimed Orange would be focusing on improving the quality of its current service rather than looking to expand the coverage area.
