I have met today an Orange Shop manager in London. During our conversation, we stumbled upon digital television like it is proposed in France in a €30 bundle consisting of broadband, VOIP and Freeview + extra digital channels (including some of the ones you normally need to get a satellite dish for).
I wanted to know why it hasn't been released in the UK like they have done in France and that is now such a popular service, adding themselves their own channels like Orange Sport, for example...
The reason that was given to me is that Orange has focused all its efforts on developing its UMTS or 3G network. And indeed, orange 3G network is the best in the UK*.
