o2 (now Sky) had their Q3 results published recently that showed their broadband marketing was certainly paying off...
While other broadband providers are not picking up many new customers, in fact some are even losing theirs, o2 (now Sky) added 72,870 new customers in Q3 which is an increase of 16% on the 62,800 it managed to add in the second quarter (Q2).
Owned by Telefonica, o2 (now Sky) now has 267,090 broadband customers, which is around 750,000 short of Orange Broadband.
Feedback from customers who have taken on an o2 (now Sky) broadband contract has generally been very good, with good speeds and service reported nationwide.
o2 (now Sky) has a network that allows up to 20 Meg broadband - for more information, click here to visit the o2 (now Sky) broadband website.
Just as a word of caution things at o2 (now Sky) may not be quite as rosy as this report suggests, I migrated to them in September and initially was very impressed with the service, 9meg down and 1meg up constantly, however, recently the service had deteriorated dramatically, off peak performance still very good, 7meg down and just under 1meg up, but during peak periods these figures drop considerably with download speed being less than 1meg. It would seem that this is due to the vast influx of new customers but they do appear to be making efforts to rectify the capacity problems so hopefully it will not be too long until they are back up again.
If anyone is considering moving to o2 (now Sky) it may be worthwhile reading through their forum http://forum.o2 (now Sky).co.uk/index.php before making your decision, it seems a case of deja vue to me as the problems there seem to mirror those regularly reported on here 12 - 18 months ago.
I don't mean this to come across too negative as the support is very good and as I said earlier they do acknowledge that their are issues and appear to be rectifying these as opposed to the fobbing off that Orange continually dished out along with the blatant lies that there were no issues with their service and the inference was that all the problems were down to our PC set ups.

No problems here, but to be fair to them on the Bethere forum they have explained whats going on and named the exchanges/areas that are suffering congestion and have closed them till they add more capacity which should be soon, BT permitting lol.

I migrated on 16 September and have had no problems except for the DNS server problem which was easily overcome by using O2DNS for Preferred and OpenDNS for Alternate.
I'm on the basic ADSL2+ Standard up to 8meg and have consistently seen speeds of around 7000/1100 at any time of day/night since migrating.
