You could probably get it to work via a Windows Laptop by sharing its internet connection and changing the configuration of its WiFi to work as an access point for the Wii. It would depend on the Windows WIFi driver as to whether it would allow you to do this. (It would effectively be running in reverse). Not for the faint hearted I suspect......
It would be easier to buy an ethernet adapter for the Wii and connect it to the laptops ethernet port with either a reverse wired cat5 cable or through a switch. You'd need to set the laptop and Wii with static IP addresses because there wouldn't be a DHCP server. Not easy, but easier than using the Wifi in reverse.
