france already have a hd freeview box, unfortunately our poor adsl lets us down a lot, orange are working on pvr being incorporated and also i've just been reliably informed that the trial will end on 31st October 2008, bit ominous with it being halloween lol
Thank you for your quick reply. Any chance of been included in the trial?
i'm sure you go to home max and at the bottom is a ticky box for digi tv
No ticky box for digi tv. I don't think I can have home max as I am still under contract with BT for line rental for 10 months or so. Went all the wall to the confirm order screen only the usual read terms and condition screen. I guess I'll have to wait until is a proper option/package

You mentioned that the trail ends in Oct. So how long after the trail will Orange give for evaluation, etc. Are we looking at an Xmas launch? Will the service be available to all Home Max users nationally or just south of the border?
As much as I'd rather not I'm considering Sky if there's going to be another long delay.

Have you not read the whole thread ?
DTV_IPTV edited out all his/her posts on August 1st, with "OOPS".
From ISPReview last week >>>>>
"Similar services from both Tiscali and BT (Vision) continue to face an uphill struggle and it's hard to see Orange, with its somewhat poor track record in the UK broadband market, being able to do any better."
With their current ongoing server/router problems and the general economic climate it would be commercial * to push it through for the Christmas market.
Just for the record I have read all of the posts in this thread. I also keep an eye on IPTV news and other sources for any insight into the possibilty of Orange ever getting round to launching this.
As DTV_IPTV claims to work for Orange directly I'd just thought I'd ask them the question.
Hopefully they'll do the courtesy of replying with some rather more helpful input.
I have spoken to Oranges' Digital Television dept today (I was surprised to have found it but a bit of digging & hey presto).
I have asked them to put us out of our misery & post a page on their web site detailing the current state of affairs. I don't mind what they come up with as long as they give us the correct information to be going on with.
We'll have to wait and see if they bother. But I shall keep in touch with them & put the phone number into the wild if they don't come up with something.

Well that'll be a first if they do, so I shouldn't hold your breath tuggy or you might miss the first broadcast.

Have you ever read War and Peace ?.......good time to start.
IPTV NEWS today;
"On words for the UK, the only information available was that trials continue, so we shall have to wait and see when and how that nut gets cracked."
Looks like nothing's happened while I've been away so back to the drawing board.
