My mum is having problems with her broadband phone connected through the live box. There is a non dialing tone and the livebox configurator is saying the service is unavailable as my title. I was wondering if anyone else has no connection?

Hi,
I'm in Manchester and I've had no VoIP since Jan 7th even tho the phone light still appeared on my box and the configuration pages said my line was active.
As we had a violent thunderstorm around then and the Livebox had rebooted, Orange sent me a new one. Now I have no phone light on the box and no active line or number.
Orange say they don't know what's causing the problem and have no timeframe for it being resolved.
It may be that the telephone adaptor was damaged and that you need a replacement adaptor.
The new Livebox you received from Orange needs setting up for VOIP. The Serial Number and the MAC numbers which are on the base of the new Livebox need to updated in their systems. I'm not sure if it's still possible for you to do that yourself via the Orange Member Centre. However if you give Customer Support a call and provide them with that info then they can activate the phone for you. If you don't want to call them then you could send an email and provide the Serial Number and MAC numbers from the sticker on the Livebox.

My second line has been unavailable since Feb 2nd when my youngest daughter was cut off during a call. I have made one call and several e-mails to Orange. The problem was escalated 14 days ago when I was informed it would take 5days for an engineer to contact me! Perhaps Orange days are 72hrs long!!!
I currently cannot make or receive calls on the second line. I have gone through all of Oranges sugestions and changed the telephone adapter. You're not the only one with this problem.
I have since found a problem with my eldest daugters laptop which now has a 'Aquiring Network Address' problem when connecting to the Livebox Thanks to Elhana. I will follow your instructions.
