Having recently upgraded to Home Max with a couple of Nokia 6301 Unique 'phones I was pleasantly suprised as to how well everything worked. The second line, initially, also looked good until I tried calling a few BT landlines from it. The caller ID is not being forwarded and on some lines appears as UNAVAILABLE, whilst on others as INTERNATIONAL. For me, when I receive such a call my instinctive reaction is to not answer it for fear of it being some moron trying to sell me something. I noticed, however, that if I called either of the two mobiles from the second line that the number was displayed correctly. So, I took a deep breath and called Orange, a particularly slow, annoying and ultimately useless thing to do. After 45 mins and Three different people I was informed that this is a known issue and wil be apparently, resolved over the next couple of days. I got the explaination about Voip calls being routed over to France and then being "tagged" as international calls by BT when they come back to the UK but, as I said, I was assured that this would be resolved completely in a few days. Has anyone else been told this or have I simply been fobbed off?
I wouldn't hold my breath. I think a few days in the standard response to any problems with them.
I don't see how they can fix it since BT are the ones that tag it as international, unless they move the servers to the UK which I do not see them doing.
Just called my land line from the voip line and it does indeed seem to be working finally. If they can stop adding an extra digit to incoming calls to the 2nd line caller I will finally be happy!

I can confirm it's working. Yesterday I rang a relative who always rings me if she finds unrecognised numbers on her phone. She quoted my 2nd line no. which was previously unavailable, which I had used to call her earlier in the day.
