Finally after 6 months of complaining to Orange and getting poor help from customer service...not to mention the constant replies of "wait 24 hrs for a line check to be done than ring back"... I have taken the option of getting my MAC code which I got within 2hrs of complaining to ISPA. I am finally moving to BT which I "hope" have a better service than what I am currently getting all of 256kbps download speeds (Orange say i am getting this speed because they are working on my line..."cough...cough...****hit").
All I have to say to anyone looking at joining Orange for their "best Broadbanad" is stick a few pins in your eyes it hurts less
