I think this topic may be covered in other threads but I wonder if anyone knows how to get this problem sorted?

Last week my Livebox eventually got activated. It makes outgoing calls fine. It connects me to the Internet OK.

BUT it doesn't show CLID when I ring BT landlines, one friend didn't answer the call because his CLID showed 'International Unavailable'.

AND MY MAIN PROBLEM:-

Whenever anyone rings my new number (at present 0845 691****), by the time they get to the 691*, the BT lady suggests they try again as the number is unrecognised. (Ringing it from the outgoing VOIP line does get me straight through to Voicemail).
I suspect there is some interface problem between Orange and the outside world as I also get unavailable from my Vodafone (best coverage in Scotland where I holiday) mobile.

All the telephone & e-mail droids (all apparently off-shore) at Orange keep suggesting power the livebox off/on and the latest e-mail suggested doing a factory reset, which I did to no avail.

How do I escalate this to get to someone who can understand what I am typing and hence deviate from the script? Rolling Eyes

Well yeah that needs escalating definitely. Best way is to call and simply ask to speak to escalations or ask that the specific issue is talk escalated.

My last e-mail to them requested this be actioned at a higher level, and it seemed to have worked. Livebox now receives calls OK. Very Happy

I read elsewhere that the CLID not appearing on a BT line is an ongoing issue.

Does anyone have any more information on this? The number does go out OK on my Vodafone mobile, so I guess this is a problem between BT & Orange. Sad

yeah i get this international thing on it too, when i first got my second line it showed up fine but now it says international. why aren't BT sorting this out? when i call people they don't want to pick up.
