no - no better stats - but at least seemed stable. Orange say my line is configured to a max of 0.5 meg, so if i get anywhere near there it seems thats all I can get....

got these stats from the livebox:

best ever attainable download readings.
But on Speedtester am getting an IP profile of 135 and an actual reading of 113KPS
After nagging Orange they have they have told me to ring them and get them to do a line check?
I did do a complete check of the wiring to the office. Pulled it all out & remade the ends in the boxes, I didnt really find anything wrong, but there you go.

why do we bother!
I did as the e-mail I rec;d from Orange instructed I rang the tech dept to run a line check. After 25 mins of going thru the ususal clear cookies clear tem,p files and several on holdsI get told we cannot run a line check the reason you only get 135k is beacaue your package has never been upgraded from 0.5 meg ring customer service to upgrade! I explain I only get 135 when I have had up to 750 just the usual repeated comment, cos they dont know what to do.
So I waste my time and ring Customer services who say that the fastest myline can support is 0.5 ( I know this I say but I only get 135) guess what?There is obviosuly a tech issue - please ring Tech help. After going of on one and getting the same info from his trained irk boss - they basically didnt know what to do there was nothing they could do etc etc.
Why do I bother.......................................
I am now at the end...................... Stuck- I'll write another letter ( they do get a response in the end- approx 10 daysish) but for what? I had much faster speeds before I "upgraded"

Given that I have had compensation of £70 odd now for there previous cockups, what is the likelihood of telling em to get stuffed?

well whoop de doo!
After several e-mails and phone calls going from customer services telling me to get a line check - to " tech help" (yeah right!) telling me they cant - I sent one of my ususal letters to Orange complaining.
Guess what - amazingly enough - I now have a IP profile of 1750 ( funny before my letter they were adamant I could only get 500 and it was actual set at 135) and get round 1750 ish on tests.
They also eventually activated my second line! Yippee! God knows how many times I had tried to do that...
So all is well ( for the moment) in the land of Orange.... I know i am on an 8 meg connection - but never expected to get over 2 meg round here - so that'll do.
we'll see what the future holds............
I only have a slight glitch on one of me old PCs which keep telling me I am offline - but clicking try again works......Thats an old PC prob tho I think.
