So did Orange respond to your 1st ISPA complaint or were you not satisfied with their response?
My 1st ISPA complaint 5 working days expires end of play tomorrow and I've heard nothing from Orange yet.
Hi nhyder.
Yes Orange did respond (though I can't be sure it was anything to do with the ISPA). This is the conversation: 'Paul from uk Fault Management Team called to ask what my latest speed test result was (1.8Mb). He could offer no actual explanation for the massive drop in performance, other than quoting contention. Also suggested that it maybe because my exchange has changed to LLU!!'
In other words he didn't have any specific answers and he hadn't bothered to find out the the exchange has been LLU's for 2 years!
Still not holding my breath for this to be resolved...
Further to you email dated 22 September in regards to your Broadband speed issue, I would like to confirm the following:-
In order to create a more stable Broadband connection at your exchange we reduced your Broadband speed from 4.5Mb to 2Mb. You then requested the speed to be increased, however this is not possible as this would create an unstable connection for yourself and other users in your area. As you were unhappy with this response, I offered to give you your MAC code so you could change to another Service Provider, which you declined.
I confirm that Orange have now reached deadlock with you and are unable to agree a resolution in relation to this dispute. In addition, I can confirm that you have exhausted our complaints procedure and you are free to seek alternative resolutions to your dispute.
I enclose a reference number for our alternative dispute resolution scheme, the Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme (CISAS). Should you wish for an independent adjudicator to assess your dispute please contact CISAS using the below details quoting reference number ADR.XXXXXXXXXX
Mine's already with CISAS as my first complaint was mid-April, was unresolved after 3 months so I didn't need a reference no. from them....CISAS case ref. 6636

So here it is. The case went to arbitration and...Orange were found to have breached contract by not issuing a months notice PRIOR to reducing my speed. They have been ordered to investigate and ibcrease my speed, and if this is not possible to provide me with a detailed and speific explanation. Oh, and they are ordered to pay me £50 compensation.
Now, I don't hold out any hope that my speed will be restored but it will be interesting to have a detailed explanation.
