After about >6 weeks without a useable internet connection, Wanadoo managed to correct the lost CBUK number and conduct a line test. 6 tests later (for some reason they couldnt conduct a full test), the conclusion is that the line is OK.
I ask if the diagnostics would pick up any aberrations on a LLU exchange - which I was told they would. So what to do?
I have asked if I could be downgraded to a 2mb line as before. Was told this was a Provisions Dept concern, then told by Provision to contact Technical Support again.
Anyway, technical support consulted the Escalation Team, and it's been decided that they will send out a USB modem (as I am currently using a Livebox) to see if this will correct the connection difficulties (even though I have used a hardwire to the Livebox).
Do the line checks come back normal on LLU problems? Can they downgrade to 2mb again?
I've told they can't go back to 2MB as that'll imply a visit to the exchange and the equipment replaced back.
Apparently my last line check passed - so they tried to blame my equipment, which is nonsense - all I need is an engineer to go to the Chorlton exchange and fix the problem!!!!

Well I spoke to this lady last week and told her that this on going saga cannot go on. I have been ringing this special support team for the past two weeks. They have been doing various things at the exchange trying to get my line sorted. She said to me that once all options have been tried and failed I would be put back to 1 meg. If you thing about it. If you were to cancel your account they would have to put things back to how they were originally.
